Who Can Use Our Platform
Students in China
CanUsEducation was created to help Chinese students achieve their highest potentials. In recent years, Chinese students and their parents have been exploring alternatives that would help students accomplish high academic goals without having to compete against the other 10 million students in the annual National College Entrance Exam. Studying overseas is an attractive option and could be quite rewarding if managed well. However, it is not so obvious to everyone that there are programs and tools that can help them increase their chance of receiving offers of admission, lower the overall cost of their overseas education, and possibly even reduce the length of their study necessary to complete an undergraduate program.
Students in China will become registered Ontario Secondary School students once they enroll in our online Ontario High School Diploma course and will be issued the Ontario Secondary School Diploma upon completion of their study. These students will then be categorized as current Ontario Secondary School Students (OUAC 101) in their application for admission to Ontario universities and colleges. Compared to international applications (OUAC 105), as the case would be if students in China directly submit applications with their Chinese high school degrees and transcripts, OUAC 101 applications would generally be given priority and thus have a success admission rate as high as 90%. Another benefit of being categorized into OUAC 101 application is that OUAC 101 application does not require an English Language Test (TOEFL or IELTS).
Students in China can also increase their chances of receiving offers of admission by submitting their applications with the College Board authorized Advanced Placement (AP) credits. Advanced Placement (AP) is a program created by the US College Board, which was founded in 1900 to expand access to higher education. Today, the membership association is made up of over 6,000 of the world’s leading educational institutions and is dedicated to promoting excellence and equity in education. Advanced Placement (AP) offers college level curricula and examinations to high school students and helps hundreds of thousands of high school students achieve their college dreams each year. By taking AP courses, students can prove to universities and colleges that they have what it takes to succeed in an undergraduate environment. Furthermore, by making it through an AP course and scoring successfully on the related AP Exam, students can save on college expenses. Currently more than 90 percent of colleges and universities offer college credits.
Through the collaboration with our partner The Virtual High School (VHS School Code: 221356), an established American organization offering online and distance education programs, we provide our students with access to a series of Advanced Placement course authorized by the College Board.

Students in Canada and US
There is a series of online education programs that are currently in development phase. CanUsEducation is planning to bring the fantastic online learning experience to North American students with the support from contracted experienced Chinese secondary school teachers and education professionals in subjects that are of interest to North American students.

It’s like being in Canada or the USA, but you are at home in China, taking the same courses as Canadians and Americans.
