Cisco CCNA Wireless (200-355 WIFUND) FAQs: Cost, Training, Value

What will you learn in this Cisco wireless network administration training?

This course was originally designed to help IT professionals certify as an all-around wireless networking associate. This course doesn't just help network administrators, network engineers or wireless design engineers design a good wireless network, it teaches them to understand what the business' underlying needs are and what wireless technologies can solve those problems.

Who should take this wireless network management course?

Anyone whose job involves designing, implementing or managing wireless network implementations should take this course. From the people who visit the wireless network nodes and troubleshoot them to the people who configure advanced routing protocols on switches and routers to allow for mobility services, this course covers all the basics of the job.

Is this training in Cisco wireless network technologies associated with any certifications?

Yes, this Cisco wireless training was originally designed to help learners prepare for the certifying exam for the CCNA Wireless. Unfortunately, in May 2020, Cisco retired the CCNA Wireless. They replaced all their specialized associate-level certifications with a generalized CCNA, which now has a lot of the CCNA Wireless information on its exam.

What certification should you consider after taking this course in administering wireless Cisco networks?

If you haven't earned the CCNA yet, that's probably the certification you'll want to look into first after completing this CCNA Wireless training. The CCNA is an all-purpose, associate-level certification that helps advance an IT professional into many different job avenues. If you need a professional-level cert, CCNP Enterprise contains a lot of wireless content.

Why should you take this wireless network administration training?

Cisco retired the CCNA Wireless because they perceived most businesses wanted a generalist at the associate level, not because it's a bad idea to have someone who knows how to plan, manage and administer every wireless technology on a network. You should take this course to be ready to work on any wireless hardware or network.
