Retired Course

CCNP Security Online Training

Note: The exam associated with this course was retired. However, this course still retains value as a training resource.
This course is scheduled to retire on January 1, 2024. Furthermore, Cisco released updated versions of these exams. If you'd like to prepare for the newest version of the exam, please watch our Cisco CCNP Security course.

In this advanced Cisco Security training, Keith Barker prepares learners to take three of the four required exams to earn the CCNP Security certifications: the 300-208 SISAS, 300-206 SENSS, 300-209 SIMOS.

In addition to that, this course covers the 300-207 SITCS exam, which — despite being retired — is still excellent preparation for the 300-210 SITCS exam, the fourth required exam for the CCNP Security certification.

Security is one of the most sought-after skills you can have in IT right now — and there are plenty of security certifications you could pursue. If you’re a network engineer with your CCNA Security, CCNP Security is a good continuation of your networking and security skills. With the right experience, security professionals who complete this CCNP Security training will prove they're ready to step into senior security engineer roles.

After completing this Security training, you'll know how to implement Cisco Edge network security solutions, secure access using 802.1X and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), and a variety of Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions on the Cisco ASA firewall and Cisco IOS software platforms.

For anyone who leads a technology team that uses Cisco products, this Security training can be used for CCNP Security exam prep, on-boarding new security professionals, or as part of a team training plan.

Who Should Take CCNP Security Training?

This Security training is considered professional-level Cisco training, which means it was designed for security professionals. This CCNP Security course is valuable for new IT professionals with at least a year of experience with security and experienced security professionals looking to validate their Cisco skills.

New or aspiring security professionals. The right training and certification can provide a career shortcut for new security professionals. CCNP Security training is generally for network personnel with several years of experience. But good students can move ahead of their peers by doing the heavy lifting to get to CCNP early. Even if you’re not aiming to earn your CCNP right now, the concepts and knowledge of this course will help you perform your IT security job more competently and professionally, and set you up for long-term success.

Experienced security professionals. If you’ve already been working in IT security for some years, many of the concepts of this training may be familiar to you, but it’s unlikely you’ve gotten a chance to get formal training in each concept in a systematic way. This CCNP Security training takes the advanced concepts of information security seriously and proceeds through them in a logical and structured way. Your data security abilities and knowledge will expand dramatically and you’ll be one step closer to Cisco’s coveted CCNP Security certification.
