The "best" network security certification is going to come down to your environment. The Palo Alto Network Security Professional is great if you work in a Palo Alto ecosystem. Comparable certifications would be Cisco’s CCNP Security, Fortinet’s NSE certifications, or Check Point’s CCSA/CCSE. Cisco leans more toward routing and security integration, Fortinet focuses heavily on FortiGate deployments, and Palo Alto emphasizes application-layer inspection and SASE architecture. If your company runs Palo Alto firewalls and Prisma services, NetSec-Pro is the most relevant. If you’re vendor-agnostic or in a mixed environment, broader certifications might make more sense.

What's on the Network Security Professional exam?

The NetSec-Pro exam has six sections: Network Security Fundamentals; NGFW and SASE Solution Functionality; Platform Solutions, Services and Tools; NGFW and SASE Solution Maintenance and Configuration; Infrastructure Management and CDSS; and Connectivity and Security.
