Do I need any prior experience with AI tools to take this course?

No prior AI experience is needed. The course starts with a Quick Start module that covers the basics of how Copilot works before getting into individual apps. If you are comfortable using Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, or Outlook in your day-to-day work, you have everything you need to get started.

Does this course prepare me for a Microsoft certification exam?

This is a skills course, not a certification prep course. There is no exam attached to it. The goal is to help you use Copilot effectively in your actual work, not to prepare you for a vendor test. If you are looking for certification prep, Microsoft offers separate exam-focused paths for that.

Do I have to watch every module, or can I go straight to the app I use most?

The course is built so you can go directly to the module for your app, whether that is Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or Word. The one exception worth noting is the Quick Start module. It gives you the context you need to get the most out of whichever app section you jump into, so it is worth watching first even if you only plan to use one app.

What version of Microsoft 365 do I need to follow along?

You will need a Microsoft 365 subscription that includes Copilot. Copilot for M365 is available as an add-on license for business and enterprise plans, so check with your IT or admin team to confirm your account has it enabled before you start. The course assumes you have access to the Copilot features inside the standard M365 desktop apps.

Is this course useful if I only use one or two M365 apps regularly?

Yes. The modular structure is specifically designed for people who work primarily in one app. Someone who lives in Excel does not need to sit through the Word or Outlook modules to get value from this course. Pick the modules that match your role, do the Quick Start first, and you will have what you need.
